MUST HAVE RECIPE BOOKS THIS YEAR:

A very well-known and talented chef called Leszek Zajac has recently taken his career to a whole new level. He has only gone and created his very own cookbook full of recipes for easy family meals. The reason I decided to grab this year’s must-have book is that I can’t wait to introduce Alexis to the beauty of cooking and baking. It is something that I know she will love doing and as well it gives us an activity that we can all do together.

This book is currently only available in paperback, however, a little birdie informed me that they will very soon be creating a special edition hardback copy. I don’t know about you but I just love hardback cookery books. They are the perfect asset to compliment any kitchen counter or island. I can not wait to add this one to my collection alongside my favourites Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay.

This recipe book is currently priced at £12.99 on Amazon and it can also be instantly downloaded free of charge for all Kindle users. What a bargain!

I can’t deny that I already have both copies… oops!

MEET LESZEK ZAJAC:

Leszek is an extremely talented, (I have tasted his food first hand so I can promise you that this is no lie) enthusiastic and passionate chef with over 20 years of kitchen experience. He has worked in many of the top London establishments, word leading hotel groups and trend-leading hospitality companies such as Gordon Ramsey’s Michelin-starred restaurant.

Basically, he’s pretty incredible at what he does!

He was inspired to write this children-friendly cookbook due to admiring his Niece and Nephews huge interest in cooking. He very quickly noticed that they loved to get involved, especially when they were allowed to do things themselves. His nephew Oli is the youngest chef in their group, followed by his niece Lily who is also always in charge of the kitchen. Watching their love for cooking increase over the years has inspired Leszek to help other children discover the incredible things that come with being a chef.

His main aim is to help encourage children to eat more healthily, grow their own ingredients, be more active and overall just have lots of fun! Which in my opinion, is a truly wonderful idea.

Make sure to head over to his Facebook and/or Instagram page to learn more. By doing so you will also have the chance to enter any upcoming giveaways in order to win yourself a free cookbook!

SAY NO TO PROCESSED FOODS:

It’s so easy to quickly grab a ready meal and hit the button on the microwave but are we really providing all the important goodness for our little ones? Probably not!

Don’t get me wrong I am all for a quick 20-minute oven dinner because I am a very busy mum, wife (to be) and businesswoman, therefore, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do… in order to SURVIVE.

I also believe that it’s extremely important to introduce your children to aa variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, and even carbs. Sometimes the heartiest of meals is actually the best (in moderation of course). We decided that we would let Alexis try almost anything and everything and that worked out really well for us. She has a great appetite and mostly never chooses an unhealthy option. I believe that’s because we have never deprived her and she now knows the tastes and textures that she loves the most.

If you are looking for easy family dinners then you must invest in a slow cooker! I honestly could not live without this incredible device. It allows me to cook almost anything without having to do much planning and/or prepping. There are hundreds of tips, tricks and ideas for slow cooker dinners that you can find online. As well as there being plenty of slow cooker recipes available too.

I’m sure Leszek would agree with me here!

EASY TO MAKE FAMILY MEALS:

The thing I love the most is the variety of choices that this recipe book has to offer. There is quite honestly a bit of everything and a huge array of different meals to create yourself. Whether you are looking for something super quick and easy for your kids or maybe your children are up for a bit of a challenge. There are plenty of ideas to follow within this cookery book in order to create perfect family meals every time.
