AD – I was kindly gifted these outfits in exchange for an honest review however, all opinions are my own.
I don’t know about you but Autumn is such a mood for me. I absolutely love everything about it, the colours, the style and the cosy nights in with no need to go out. What more could you want for a few months of the year? Autumn gives us the best lead up to the colder months of Winter which also means that Christmas is even closer than we even realise. How exciting!
When those nights start to get colder I am the first to get out the woolly jumpers, scarfs and chunky boots. Don’t get me wrong, summer fashion is always beautiful but you just can’t beat wrapping up warm with style.
I’ve been checking out some of this year’s autumn/winter fashion trends and I wanted to share some of my favourites with you today. Since becoming a mum I have noticed that my body has changed quite a bit and I can’t always pull off the cliche crop top.
Please tell me I’m not the only one who is completely fed up of everything being cropped!? What are some of these current fashion trends seriously!?
It’s time to put yourself as a priority for once and make yourself look good this season. I am by no means a fashion expert but I do love a bit of retail therapy. So without further ado let’s take a sneak peek into my brand new and exciting winter wardrobe.
MUMS WHO HAVE STYLE:
Being a mum does not mean you can’t wear fashionable clothing. One of my biggest pet peeves is hearing people say “you can’t wear that you’re a mum now” it’s absolutely ridiculous. Who’s to say that the way you dress determines how much of a good mum you are?
It’s true that being a parent does come at a price (and quite an expensive one if I do say so myself). You’ve just got to learn how to prioritise and sort out your finances sensibly. It might mean that you don’t have as much expenditure cash as beforehand but that does not mean that you can’t treat yourself every now and then.
Unless you are extremely lucky, it’s not likely that you will be going out and buying yourself a new Gucci belt with a matching handbag. That being said there are loads of brilliant, affordable and good quality clothing brands out there that can make you look gorgeous. Brands just like KatchMe are absolutely smashing the online retailer world this winter and that’s why I’m going to share some of their top fashion styles with you today.

Oh my gosh, I cannot express how much I love the style and design of these dresses. They are absolutely beautiful and they look really great on. Well, I’m sure it would do if It actually fitted me. This has nothing to do with the company just more at the fact I keep cheating on Slimming World. Did you know that Kitkats are 11 syn points and you’re only allowed a total of 15 a day… absolutely appalling.
The thing I love most about these dresses is that you can dress them up and down. They would look perfect in the day time with some chunky boots and a nice jacket as well as looking gorgeous will some heels and a cute clutch.

CHECKED FLANNEL SHIRTS ARE A MUST:
I’m all about the checked flannel shirts this year as they are so versatile. They are also super comfy which makes them the perfect asset to any mums wardrobe. I like to wear mine tide up which gives it that extra bit of personality as well as wearing it as an open oversized shirt.
What do you think of the checked shirt? Should it be brought back?
DON’T FORGET TO ACCESSORIES:
Anyone who knows me well will know how much I love an accessory or two. I always go all out with them because they can make such a simple outfit look the absolute bee’s knees. Autumn is also the perfect time to invest in some as there’s such a huge range made available at this time.
Here’s a list of my go to accessories:
- Bobble Hats
- Buckle belts
- hooped earrings
- bucket hat
- 3 rings
- Knee-high boots
- Hair slides
- Pearl hair clips
- Bow headbands
- Snake print bag
- Faux fur bags
INVEST IN SOME VINYL:
It’s all about the vinyl this year and I am loving it. I am a huge fan of the tight wet leather look trousers but let’s go beyond that. I have invested in some vinyl leather chunky boots and they are gorgeous. They are completely different from anything I’ve had before but I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I’m so happy about it. Not only do they look great and can be worn in many different ways they are also so comfy.
