The Benefits of Shopping Small For Your Children This Christmas

Are you looking for ideas to help fill up those stockings? you’ll be surprised at how difficult it ends up being trying to buy for the children that have it all. If you’re looking for something a little different I have found some of the best products down the secret nooks and crannies of the internet. So, Without further ado here is my baby Christmas gift guide.

This Christmas is very special to me because it’s my first year as a mummy! Although deep down I know Alexis does not have a clue what’s going on, I still want to do everything. I love Christmas so much and having a child just makes it all that little more special.

I am all for supporting new, up and coming, independent businesses. This is something I will always stand by. Some of the best quality products I’ve ever bought have come from independent stores rather than the well-known retailers we all know off. I think it’s time that we started investing more of our time and money into the people around us.

Shop Pom Pom

As I’m sure many of you already know I’ve approached this Christmas with a very eco-friendly mindset. I have wanted to start investing in companies that are not only ethical but are good quality as well. It takes time to find products that will last you a long time and that’s exactly why Shop PomPom is the first discovery on my gift guide this year!

A company offering everyone the chance to easily access beautifully designed, plastic-free products. Whether you’re looking to purchase for your family, friends, or even your neighbour. The thing I liked most was the great selection of unique toys and gifts there was to choose from. There were products that in all honesty, I would never have considered before but Shop Pom Pom has opened up my eyes to a whole new world.

Wall Decorations:

Although my daughter is only 6 months old and wouldn’t be able to build this herself. I have decided to take a completely different approach to this product. Although it is designed as a wall decoration I have decided to use it as a sensory play. The cardboard material is sturdy enough for her to touch and play with without damaging it all together. However, due to the small pieces, it’s not something that could be left unsupervised.

Yellow Butterfly Wall Decoration:

This 3D object would make the perfect activity for a rainy day. As you can see from the picture below the instructions are written on the inside of the packaging itself. I thought this was a fantastic idea, making use of all the resources available and of course, it helps to save paper too!

BlueRock

I’ll be honest with you, I am the first to admit I have been very naive when it comes to saving our planet. This year it has been my goal to be more mindful and try to become more eco-friendly. Obviously, there is currently a huge issue with this and I have wanted to play my part and try to help out.

BlueRock is a fantastic company that sells both adult and children eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes. Recently, so many different bamboo products have been popping up on my newsfeed and I’ve been very excited to test them out. I’ve made it my mission to slowly but surely transition over to bamboo and this was my first step. Something as simple as swapping your toothbrush can help save the world (and yes, it is as drastic as that).

I thought these would make the perfect little stocking filler. If you’re like me, you quite often fill the kid’s stockings up with crap! It’s always the stuff that they play with for five minutes and end up in the charity box the following week! So, why not buy something small, affordable and teach them all about the world we live in. Whether you’re looking for a one of purchase or a bamboo toothbrush subscription they have it all.

Are you thinking of having a green Christmas? Use the code SEALS at the checkout and you will receive: 15% off any of the 4-packs and/or 25% off the first delivery of your monthly subscription.

Love Baby Grows

I first came across this shop on Instagram, did you even know there were shops on Instagram? I know I didn’t. You’ll be surprised at how many independent shops you can find on there. Some of my favourite bits and pieces I’ve bought for Alexis have come directly from Instagram.

As we loved our babygrow so much I thought it would be the perfect gift to include in my gift guide this year. I don’t know about you but I always struggle for ideas when it comes to buying gifts for babies. You never know what they need or what they already have. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with buying a personalised gift. These are the perfect types of gifts to keep as a memory and are always appreciated by everyone.

These babygrows are 100% pure-cotton which means they’re super soft, extremely cosy and so easy to wash. I don’t you about you but to me, quality is something I look for. You can’t just put anything on Alexis as she has super sensitive skin so I always make sure the material is good enough. I may be walking around in Primark but always the best for my baby!

Don’t beat yourself up for not being as informed on eco friendly living as you could be – we all start our journey somewhere! These are all great suggestions, especially the cardboard wall decorations. Love the unique products you’ve chosen for your gift guide. xx
