A day in the life of me, Ashleigh.

Today I thought it would be a nice little idea to do A day in the life of me post. I have never done this before so why not take on a completely different approach to my blog and write about something new. It’s not that I get up to anything all that exciting in my life, in fact most days I don’t actually do all that much at all. I just thought it would be nice for me to look back on and for you guys to get to know me a little better.

As I write this post it’s Monday 3rd April 2017, the beginning of my week off. I already know this week is going to be great for me because firstly I do not have work at all and secondly it’s half term. This means I get to spend a lot more time with my brother. For anyone who knows me well you’ll know how well my brother and I get on with each other, we truly are the best of friends.

I would like to start this post off at 7:30am when I opened my eyes from one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. I imagine you are sitting there thinking why would you be waking up at stupid o’clock on your day off. Well I am a very early morning person and for some reason I always have been. My friends and family often like to remind me that I am getting way to old before my time, This is due to the fact I can never stay awake past 10pm and am always the first up in the morning. Morning time is normally the worst part of the day for me for feeling down and depressed, I’m not to sure why it’s just whenever I wake up it’s like “burgh it’s another day already”. I know this is an awfully negative way to think and I try my hardest not to be like this but sometimes you just can’t help it when you are suffering with depression.

Today was not one of those days, I woke up feeling very positive, happy and energetic. I don’t know whether it was because I had one of the best dreams I’ve ever had or the fact the sun was shining and everyone in the house seemed to be in such a lovely mood. With all this positivity springing through my mind I decided to jump out of bed and get on with the day ahead. I made myself a hot cup of green tea with fresh fruit, granola and yoghurt, I took my healthy meal and sat myself down in the living room to enjoy. There is not a better way to start the day than having a healthy breakfast and it is surprising how much happier and healthier this makes you feel. After breakfast I decided to work out, I work out at least 3/4 times a week at the moment due to wanting to lose some unwanted and very unneeded weight before my holiday next month.. this is not a usual daily occurrence don’t worry.

After my work out I decided to relax and catch up on my favourite TV shows, I’m currently watching a programme called Gap Year on E4 and I am obsessed. It’s crazy how one episode can quickly turn into a whole series right? After binge watching the TV me and my brother decided to relax in the garden as the sun was shining through. This is quite possibly the first time we have been out there since summer which is great because who doesn’t love the outdoors. I am a real and true country girl who loves nothing more than being out in natures finest. In our garden we have a lovely decking that’s beautiful to relax on whilst writing a blog post or two. As well as relaxation, we also have a trampoline in our garden if you fancy a bit of fun.

It’s very surprising how fast the day goes by we you don’t look at the clock. Before I knew it, it was 6 o’clock and my mum was home from work and we were preparing for dinner. For some reason I had actually really missed my mum today, it’s not that I don’t miss her everyday but I think today was especially more as we were all having family time in the garden and she was the only one who was at work, It was just a little sad. Dinner time hit and as a family we decided to all eat together, I don’t know about you guys but normally in my household we will eat separately or wherever we want to. Today was a little different we all sat down and indulged in a gorgeously cooked roast chicken together. Of course being vegetarian I didn’t have the chicken but the vegetables and potatoes were just as good and made up for it.

After this I decided to have a relaxing bath before bed, what better way to end the day. As you may know I am a huge fan of bath time and I specialise in bath bombs and soaps. Some people call me Ashleigh, Some people call me Miss Lush. Lush has recently become my favourite store and I quickly learnt that I could in fact spend hours in there. Today I decided to use the bath bomb rose bombshell and I was so happy with the results. I’ve never used this one before but I will definitely be sure to use it again. I laid in the bath for a good 2 hours with my toes topping up the hot water every 45 minutes or so until I eventually had to get out otherwise I would eventually have shrivelled up.

So As I end this post I am currently laying in bed with my favourite cosy pyjamas on ready to end the day and prepare for the next.
